Director
Jan. 2021
I inherited this director’s chair from my grandparents, and it wasn’t until after I found my confidence in directing, that it felt appropriate for me to have.
I wanted to use an open field for this idea, so I hiked up to the top of the hills at Hart Park in Bakersfield with my chair over my shoulder. Unfortunately, all the grass was dead and brown at this time of year, but I think it enhanced the surreal nature of this concept.

I physically moved the chair further from the camera and in different positions during the photoshoot, to make the effect look more realistic. I used my phone to remotely operate my camera and take photos from a distance.
